rare interviews from US and Australian television networks, previously
unreleased footage from an unaired US television show shot in 1972, the
best of the Japanese Budokan shows from March '73, film from one of Byron's
last gigs in Europe and all of the surviving promotional film of Rough

Stephan Fontaine,fu solo una meteora nella storia degli Uriah Heep.
Fu infatti ingaggiato dalla band,dopo le registrazioni del loro 16° album in studio (Equator del 1985)perchè in quel periodo avevano appena cacciato (per motivi ancora oscuri)Peter Goalby.
Il motivi della sua fuoriuscita dagli Heep furono 2:
1.Differenza di opinioni con i membri storici (Mick Box,Lee Kerslake e Trevor Bolder)
2. Differenza di età (Fontaine era molto più giovane rispetto agli altri)
Dopo aver congedato Fontaine,il gruppo aprì nuove audizioni e come suo sostituto,scelse l'attuale cantante Bernie Shaw.[:)]

Io l'ho già ordinato dal mio negoziante di fiducia,che mi aveva procurato roba in tovabile (almeno nella mia città) come 2 dvd (uno del concerto di Mosca del 1987,l'altro è un concerto a Monaco di Baviera del 2000 per celebrare il 30° anniversario alla carriera).
Se tutto va bene [:P] sabato 20 Dicembre avrò la mia copia...[:D]

1.Le informazioni che ho su Fontaine sono quelle contenute nel sito che ho indicato nella Url (scritta in azzurro)...L'hai per caso sentito dal vivo? (che io sappia,gli Heep con Fontaine
2.Avevo letto anche sul sito della "Classic rock"che il Dvd sulla "Byron era" esce a Gennaio,Infatti gli avevo telefonato per prenotarlo,ma il mio negoziante di fiducia il quale (sicuramente si è confuso a sua volta) mi disse per telefono che l'aveva già avuto in negozio (eppure gli ho detto cosi bene "...è un DVD della Classic rock sull'epoca di David Byron...[V]")
La ragione fondamentale per la quale glii ho telefonato ( e non sono andato in negozio...) è la sua assenza quasi perpetua (è sempre in giro a raccattare le varie rarità musicali...[:D]) Per questo lo considero un "Fantasma formaggino" che vende solo su appuntamento...[^]
Comunque un salto in negozio è doveroso per prenotare questo documento sul grande David...è imperdibile...
3.Beh io penso che concerti filmati e pubblicati in videocassetta o DVD siano comunque grandi testimonianze del talento di un'artista o di una band,quindi ben vengano anche se pubblicati a decine (tanto tocca ai fans quale scegliere,no?[;)])

2.Che il dvd dell'era Byron non fosse in vendita nei negozi,lo sapevo,però il negoziante che conosco io,potrebbe (uso il condizionale...[:)]) ordinare una copia direttamente presso la classic rock productions per me (dato che i 2 dvd che posseggo,li ha ordinati lui lì...[:D])
Mi andrebbe proprio di jella se mi dicesse che la classic rock non venderebbe il Dvd a lui poichè lo vende solo via internet...[V])
Poichè dovrei arrangiarmi ad ordinarlo,ma non vorrei che chiedessero carte di credito[V] io non pago mai via internet,al limite in contrassegno...(così sono sicuro che pago quando ho il dvd...[:)]
Secondo me,Il live di Mosca dell'87 è più che buono come documento;ci sono ottimi brani: i miei preferiti sono:
1.Too scared to run (L'assolo di Box è allucinante...[:0])
2.Mr Majestic (è una delle mie preferite scritta da questa formazione...[:)])
3.Corina (altro ottimo pezzo scritto dalla formazione attuale[:)])
4. Infine mi piace l'"extra " Bad bad man" del documentario celebrativo dei 20 anni di carriera (1990)
5:Trovo invece quasi insignificante l'assolo di tastiere di Lanzon in "Gypsy" (l'assolo originale del cd "Very,Heavy" è di un'altro pianeta:Lanzon in effetti,intepreta meglio l'assolo tastieristico di "Gypsy" nel dvd "The legends go on"[:D])
La cassetta russa mezza taroccata non mi è mai passata sotto il naso...[:)]
Non possiedo "Sailing the sea of light" poichè gli ho preferito "The legends go on".
