In risposta alla voce circolata di recente su un presunto ritiro dalle scene dei Deep Purple dopo il tour 2010, il management dei Deep Purple ha rilasciato due dichiarazioni ufficiali attraverso le quali la diceria della "pensione" viene smentita categoricamente.
Sul sito ufficiale dei Deep Purple riservato a stampa e promoter, si legge:
This is not the end.
We frequently receive emails from fans saying that they hear in the news that the fall/winter tour is the last tour Deep Purple will do. This is simply a rumor and should not be taken as a fact.
Deep Purple and the management, Thames Talent Ltd, would like you to know that this is NOT the last tour of any market place.
Che tradotto in italiano diventa:
Questa non è la fine.
Riceviamo molte email da fan che ci riportano di aver sentito nei media che il tour di quest'autunno ed inverno è l'ultimo tour che i Deep Purple faranno. Si tratta di semplici dicerie, e non della verità.
I Deep Purple e il management, Thames Talent Ltd, sono lieti di comunicarvi che questo non è l'ultimo tour di alcun bacino di mercato.
