Steve Morse and Glenn Hughes both have contributed to an upcoming Tommy Bolin tribute album. The album, yet unnamed, is being put together by producer Greg Hampton of the Tommy Bolin Whips and Roses fame. Fabrizio Grossi (Whips & Roses I & II, Glenn Hughes) is also on board as Associate Producer/Mix Engineer. Other musicians who already recorded their parts are:

* Peter Frampton (Humble Pie, solo)
* Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge)
* Joe Bonamassa (Black Country Communion, solo)

Also in negotiation or committed to the project are Billy Gibbons, Ben Harper, Tom Morello and Derek Trucks.

si, sapevo di questo tributo e mi fa piacere visto che Tommy Bolin è il più sottovalutato chitarrista/compositore (ma anche cantante/produttore) della storia e vista la bellezza degli album Whips & Roses I & II (il n1. in particolar modo è incredibile)...ma ovviamente nessuno protrà raggingere le vette di Tommy nei suoi pezzi...cmq sia ascolto assicurato...sarebbe bello se partecipasse anche Blackmore ma la vedo dura...data di uscita?

cmq sarebbe bello anche se Narada Michael Walden trovasse il coraggio di riconfrontarsi con quella micidiale performance batteristica contenuta in "Marching Powder" (forse dal punto di vista batteristico il brano più impressionante che abbia mai sentito...cmq tra i migliori)
